About Us

Shine On are a 6-piece Indian Classic Pop, Retro, Bollywood and Fusion band from Goa, India. The band was formed in 2017 from a collection of multi talented nerds with good eyes and ears for music. It was a call from Rodsley who was keen on having Sidney with the entire music gang to perform for his wedding at Penha De Fanca, Britonna on 17th April 2017 that kickstarted the journey for Shine On.

The Band is inspired by the songs and artists in the likes of Elvis Presley, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Kishor Kumar and RD Burman. Blending Melodies with synchronised rhythms are some of the specialities of the band. Heavy synths and punchy live horns with melancholic lead guitar patterns and boomy bass lines make the band stand out on stage.

The unique brand of entertainment fuses blending melodies and synchronised rhythms with heavy synths and punchy scintillating sounds and harmonies that leave the audiences mesmeried to dance all night long .

Shine On is known for original music and the Konkani singles. In 2018 and 2022 the official Carnival Theme song for Goa Tourism was composed by the band.

Shine On is currently hailed as ‘One of Goas top rated wedding band’ and has been awarded best music band ‘ by Konkani Music Awards 2020 held in Dr. Syamaprasad Indoor Stadium, Taleigao. Shine On have released over 7 records and performs over 100 shows per season.

Songs done by Shine On are always unique and modern. Its always a treat and people wait for the release of the song. The music is fresh and urban, truly a delight. (O Herald Newspaper)

Currently, the band is working on a cover songs in Hindi, Konkani and English. There are some original songs also lined up for release. “We love to experiment and deliver somthing of our own! There is always room for improvement but striving to achive high standard is what is desired from each member. As a team of talented musicians we need to put up all efforts for excellent performance on stage as well” says Sidney Band Leader and founder of Shine On Band.
